ABOUT
Ziyue Grace Xue was born and raised in Beijing, China. She graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., in the summer of 2023 and earned a master’s degree at Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.
With a keen interest in stories that reflect the intricacies of culture and interpersonal relationships, Xue has served as a staff writer for her college newspaper and gained valuable experience as a features intern at the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Los Angeles Times.
Besides writing, Xue is also experimenting with photography and documentary storytelling. She carries a Canon EOS R7 whenever she's on reporting assignments or traveling.
In her personal life, Xue is a dancer who does ballet, modern and Chinese traditional dance. She is also an avid fan of anime and board games.
