ABOUT
Ziyue Grace Xue was born and raised in Beijing, China. She is a multimedia journalist based in Oregon and Chicago.
She graduated with a B.A. from Macalester College and earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
With a keen interest in stories that reflect the intricacies of culture and communities, Xue has reported for The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Los Angeles Times and Block Club Chicago.
Besides writing, Xue is also a visual storyteller. She carries a Canon EOS R7, a Fujifilm X-T5 and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 whenever she's on reporting assignments or traveling.
Now Xue serves as the news writer and videographer for Oregon State University Extension Service, reporting on youth education, health and science research stories in rural Oregon.
In her personal life, Xue is a dancer who performs ballet, modern dance and traditional Chinese dance. She is also an avid fan of films and board games.
