Video Work Samples
Welcome to my video portfolio. Here you'll find a range of videos I shoot and produce, from vlogs to social reels to documentary shorts.

LA Times - The secrets to Eric Blackwell’s creativity? Friendships and recycling
With a background in music and a passion for precision, Eric Blackwell creates intricate marquetry, clocks and guitar stands that combine functionality with artistic flair. This video featured how Eric did daily work in his home studio. The video is a multimedia element of his profile story published in the LA Times, both digitally and in print.
LA Times - Ceramist Raina Lee talks about her work
Raina Lee talks about her ceramics, influences and her proudest work, the volcanic glazes. I filmed the footage during my visit to her studio and edited it myself.

LA Times - Hey Tea downtown L.A. location opening
Heytea (喜茶 Xi Cha) is a global tea chain founded in 2012 in Guangdong, China, by Neo Nie, a then-19-year-old entrepreneur. The company launched its first West Coast location in Beverly Hills with a menu of milk tea and fruit tea featuring signature drinks such as Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, Coconut Mango Boom and Cheese Grape Boom. I filmed and edited a video for social media while reporting on Heytea's opening.
Explainer - Behind H Mart's attraction
H Mart is an American chain of Asian supermarkets that has 84 stores throughout the United States. It attracts customers of different backgrounds to shop for its clean and organized display and its variety of Asian groceries. This documentary took place in H Mart in downtown Chicago and featured several customers and employees talking about their experiences.

Documentary - A Day of Mothers
In March 2024, I followed my mom and my sister, both mothers of young kids, to document their mundane routine for a day. This documentary aims to show the hardship and invisible responsibilities mothers bear every day but often take for granted by society.
Trailer - You got a mail
In Fall 2022, I took a documentary analysis and production class at Macalester College. The final project is to pitch a documentary idea and make a trailer. My idea was to observe and reveal the daily operations of the Macalester Mailing Service. While students, faculty, and staff rely on this service, the effort behind the secure and accurate handling of mail often goes unnoticed. By showcasing the unseen labor behind the mailroom's pick-up window, this film aims to transparently present the sorting and handling process.
